When did I become SO Canadian?

Jeremy is assistant coach for the BYU Hockey team and last week the season ended. So in honoUr of it being our first weekend with no hockey in 8 months, we are:

Friday: Watching the Canadian Hockey Team play Slovakia and hopefully make it to the GOLD medal round Sunday. Mind you Nicole and Casey are taking Tyler tonight so this is LIKE a date.

Saturday: Jer's going to ref 3 hockey games in the morning, then we're gonna watch one of the hockey team he consults play in the STATE finals Saturday night.

Sunday: Hopefullly watch CANADA beat USA in the Gold medal Round. Sorry American friends... but... there's something about the Olympics that make me extra Canadian.

I think I went to like 3 hockey games MY WHOLE life before I moved to Utah.

hmmmm.

It just melted off me

So I'm happy, proud, excited to say I'm BACK to my pre-pregnancy weight.

DEFINE pre-pregnancy weight: What I was before I was pregnant....Not what I was in highschool, or when I got married but hey -it's STILL pre-pregnancy.

This is more of a soap box post for all the ladies who jump back in their pants after they deliver, or who don't even bother gaining weight anyways, I HATE YOU! haha... well not really, but maybe a little.

It took me 18 months to lose the weight after Tyler (and I was trying), but this time I ate super healthy (pretty much since the day I found out I was pregnant), and for the last 2 months I have:
  • eaten the same healthy foods daily (chicken, beans, rice, oatmeal) prescribed by someone who knows what they are talking about for nursing moms
  • exercised HARD 6 times a week
  • had sugar or sweets only 3 times (bday, anniversary, michele's wedding)
and VOILA....

It just melted off.
Right.

Miracles DO Happen

Remember my post a week or so about Praying for Baby Bronson -
Well he is home and well - it was an absolute MIRACLE.
I'm so relieved and happy for this family that I don't even know.
There must have been thousands and thousands of people praying HARD for this baby - I KNOW I WAS.
I know that sometimes we don't always get what we want, but that there is a GOD in Heaven who answers prayers and everything is in his hands.

What does every TIRED mom need?

A baby as easy as Baby Chase... I say prayers or gratitude everyday that he has been so easy. He is just about the sweetest little thing that melts your heart with just one of his little smiles. He is such an incredible little sleeper- He's as sweet as Tyler is active. I wouldn't change a thing about either of them... Well that's not entirely true... Chase would cooperate with a bottle when I have to go out once every 2 weeks or so and Tyler would think sleeping was as cool as Spiderman...but you can't expect to have PERFECT children...

Pray for this Baby

It's somewhat out of character for me to be emotional on a blog entry... but...

I stumbled upon this family because a friend of mine joined a group called "Prayers for Bronson" on facebook and I wondered what it was. I clicked through to this ladies blog and in all honesty completely lost it as I read the story.

To make a long story short (click the link for the whole story), her little baby boy - about 15 months old, drown in the bathtub on Saturday and is in the hospital fighting for his life. Reading the story I felt nothing but absolute pain and sorrow for this woman. I can't imagine the guilt and pain she is feeling - I cry thinking about it. Having boys myself, and being busy a lot - I somehow feel a complete understanding and connection to this mom.

So to anyone who reads my blog - please - please -say prayers for Bronson tonight- and tomorrow - and for his mommy. I don't even know these people and somehow this is the only way I feel like I can "help". Please pray for them - even if you don't normally pray.

Jeremy's New Product

Jer has been working hard developing an off-ice, web based training program for hockey players the last few months. He majored in exercise science and knows a thing or two about how to train specifically for hockey so it's kinda a really neat thing.

What's in it for me? I get to brag that my husband is hot again.... haha

Now if only I could get my 19 year old body back!
