It was just a random Tuesday night - we were feeling stir crazy. Had way too much work and cleaning to do - so- we went to nickelcade. Tyler got an obnoxious, cheap, helicopter toy that needs an adult to wind it up every time with his tickets - just a typical Tuesday -
Jodi and I were invited to be part of the bloggers corner at the Utah Valley Womens Expo this year for our blog foodstoragemadeeasy.net. We spent a couple weeks getting ready and were tired before it even started but we met a lot of our readers, learned a lot, and had fun. We were lucky to have great husbands and family to help so much with the kids and logistics....
We told Tyler if he took a nap we would go to the park. He tooka 3 hour nap, woke up, and said: "I slept really well!" ... So we took a trip to the park.
Whenever Tyler builds towers he has to make sure everything is completely color cordinated - When it comes to legos he doesn't like using different sized blocks even - he's just a little bit 'specific'
We got some tickets to the Salt Lake Bee's baseball game. It was the most beautiful spring evening. We got there, watched an inning, then waited in line to ride this little train. We only had to wait four innings for our turn. The night wouldn't have been complete without a freak out. After waiting so long Tyler was devastated when we missed the next ride by one person- we thought we were going to make it. Luckily we made it on the next one.
We had Tyler's car seat in the middle next to Chases while Cole was here. This was before we moved it back. This is how our boys rode - all the way to the gym. Tyler said: "I'm just holding his hand". Priceless!
Chase is such a sweet blessing - he brings such a peaceful, happy spirit to our crazy lives. I just melt when he smiles- which is pretty much always the case.
One morning Tyler told Cole it was time to go potty on the toilet. He helped him take his diaper off and said it's time to go potty. He then went and got him a pair of underwear and taught him how to put it on. We let him wear it for a couple hours - until we went to gymnastics.
While Cole was here there was a day of decent weather. We had to take him to the cool park. Apparently when you tell Tyler to roll down the hill, he thinks you mean to do sommersaults the whole way down.
Getting a new sister and cousin is hard work! We picked up Cole to stay with us while Andrea was in the hospital. The boys were excited to be together and tited for the drive.
She's here and beautiful, and WILL be spoiled! Born April 8th, 2010 (8 is MY lucky number and rugby number - ahem ahem). She weighed 6"12 and is 20 inches. Andrea says she has a scoul like wrinkle in her forhead just like mine- she's perfect and I'm in love!
The Easter bunny brought Tyler a train set, candy, and tic tacs. The tic tacs were the favorite but the train was really neat too. We watched general conference, went to my parents for lunch and had a nice relaxing day.
While we had so much fun with Cole here, all good things must come to an end... These are the boyd taking Cole home. We got them matching drinks at Maverick for the ride. My mom took them back and Tyler had his first sleepover. Other then getting licked by a dog in the middle of the night and taking cover in a toy tent - Tyler did just fine...
Tyler was so happy Cole got to come to open gym at gumnastics with him! They even did a little Easter egg hunt at the end. Cole was cute exploring all the things at the gym.
Cole and Tyler went to my patents one of the nights so Jeremy and I went to cafe rio - got our salads stripped of all that is tasty and had a quiet meal. We gave Chase some beans mashed - he loved them -and he got lots if attention.
The weather was nice for "some" of the time Cole was here so we took advantage of it. The boys had to take turns on the scooter but they survived and had fun.
We had Cole for a few days while Andrea got over a bad cold - and was hoping for an early delivery of her baby (it didn't work). The boys played well together and had such a blast
