GOODBYE JACK BAUER AND 24

Sigh - It's the end of an era for the Weiss and Hanson family. Sob. When we were first married Jeremy and I would go up to Rexburg to see Mike and Andrea. We'd go to their clubhouse at their apartment and watch full seasons of 24 over weekends. They would come to our little Provo condo and do the same.

After 4 seasons of doing this, we finally caught up to the real time and would continue to watch it together however we could. Kids came along and it became more difficult, but nonetheless- we always made time for Jack and for each other.

Each time we would watch the show together, we got sour patch kids, soda and other snacks. It's tradition.

Well this year was the last and final season of 24... Sob - really I think I might cry writing this. Jeremy and I had practically the whole season on our DVR while Mike and Andrea were up to date. When we realized we would need to hurry and finish it on time because of all the spoilers that exist on facebook about how shows end, Jeremy and I hurried and watched 17 hours of tv in 3 days, then drove up to Logan to send off Jack properly - with respect.

Well here is a little sneak into our snack. It was delicious and "EPIC". It was also worth the 7 straight hours of PUKING I did that night and the next morning because my body is sort of not used to this kind of food anymore - Would I do it again - HECK YA, I lost like 5 pounds that day.

Adios 24, Jack and our "Newly Wed" days with the Hansons. We got lots of fun times ahead of us though.

PARADE AND CONTAINERS

I like these. I found them in the Parade of Homes. I'm bitter my favorite builder is not building this year at the Parade of Homes. It makes me sad. That's all I have to say about that.

FRUITS IN THEIR SEASON

You're supposed to eat fruits and veggies in their season. It's healthy for you, and all sorts of other stuff. Does this count?

BABY GIRL

IF I ever get a girl... I will decorate SOMEHOW with this carpet. Can you believe its got Cinderella's carriage woven in it. It has 3 shades of pink, 2 of purple and a lovely blue accent. In fact I think I'd use some of all the pieces, SOMEHOW!

BABY FOOD

So I had all these sweet potatoes in my fridge I couldn't eat fast enough, so I pressure cooked them (to avoid boiling all the nutrients out), then I put them in my food processor, purred them, did a 2nd batch with green beans and carrots and I have baby food that is healthier, cheaper, perhaps yummier. Who would have thought I'd be so handy with kitchen appliances....hahah.

PHOTOGRAPHER PART 2

The best part of this photo shoot is that its in the middle of church, and he's got a shot of his friend Roscoe 5 rows ahead. He does this when I'm not looking and I find these treasures on my phone. Although I was looking when he took the one of me. Apparently he could learn a thing or two about angles.

WEISS TECH

Tyler's first official day at Weiss Tech Hockey Camps. He's a stud. So is his cousin Mikey. Aren't they cute!? I can't wait to see him zipping around the ice. Right now he's just walking around. Its really the cutest thing. I love my little boy.

LIVIA

SHE IS SO FREAKING CUTE! I don't get to hold my precious little niece enough. But I get pictures here and there now that Andrea knows how to work Mike's iPhone!

TYLER THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Here are just a few of his latest.

LIARS

All the ladies who tell you they can make great bread from scratch by hand... they are lying. They have one of these sweet machines. Bosch Mixers- I will own my OWN soon, but for now this is my mommies. This precious thing practically makes bread FOR you.

SATURDAY

Saturday is a special day, it's a day we eat In and Out. Or if you're Tyler, it's called"OUT IN BURGERS!" said with gusto and major excitement.

BASEMENT PROGRESS

We're finishing part of our basement. If you ask Tyler what it's for, he'll tell you it's for his toys and him and his friends. He's absolutely right. We are so excited to have a little extra space. We'll keep you posted, it should be done "soon"

TO DO PILE

WILL IT JUST GO AWAY? I'M trying to see if it does. Just sitting here, watching it, wondering if it will ever go away. I'll let you know how it goes.

PUZZLES

Tyler LOVES puzzles. Aunt Jodi knows Tyler loves puzzles. Aunt Jodi knows that a 100 piece puzzle is sort of out of his reach - is she teasing me? Just maybe. He can do the 35 piece one alone though, so it was a great gift, he loves Mikey - his BIG cousin.

BIRTHDAY CAKE

I promised myself I wouldn't go overboard and do fondant for the birthday cake, but I couldn't help myself. I asked Tyler what he wanted on his Spiderman cake (the fact that it was Spiderman was a given). I showed him some pictures of cakes online. He decided he wanted a circle cake, with buildings, and the whole Spiderman (not just his head). So he got it. I must admit, its sooooo fun to decorate cakes, so I didn't do it all the begrudgingly :)

FREAK

"Hey dad, I got this thing off the door, so now I can go outside when I want to" -Tyler

SEEING TRIPLE?

We had Mikey over early for Tyler's birthday party and I took the chance to get all 3 of them in suits. Mikey is wearing Tyler's new one that is too big for him still. I just think this is the cutest thing ever! Mikey seemed to feel special and honored to wear the spandex suit.

SUPER HERO PARTY

This is the beginning of the capes my mom and I made for Tyler's birthday party. Each little boy got one with his initial. It was seriously so fun. I think I'd like to be 3 again! This one was for Cole. His friend and cousin. We also had a fun time delivering invitation to the neighbor boys. This is Tyler at his friend Roscoe's house. He sure does love his friends.

IRON MAN 2

So we were really excited about seeing this movie. It was a movie we all could agree on. Tyler was really excited, and behaved for a whole week while we used this as bait to get him to take naps. He yelled really loud a few times "DON'T GET HIM BAD DUDES, YOU LEAVE IRON MAN ALONE" but other then that, he was quiet. Chase slept in his seat the whole time. He's a hard one that guy! haha

BIG FAT LIP

Tyler accidentally fell on a little girl at gymnastics. He was pretty upset about it, and a little offended his lip got so big. I'm just glad he kept his teeth- I'm not planning on replacing teeth at least until checking in hockey begins.
