These are the moments

We are back at lifetime fitness and I remember all the reasons I loved it- the awesome daycare, th hard hard classes, the endless amount of machines and equipment, and the cleanliness. We took a break from it while I was pregnant and Chase was a newborn. Anyways. I forgot how much Tyler loved the elevator on the way out...of course he did not forget.

Anyways at the end of a workout when I really just want to get going Tyler always wants a ride. I somehow use it as an opportunity to remind myself how precious this time in our life is - how I will one day miss these days. So yes - Tyler ALWAYS get at least one elevator trip...

Now if only he wouldn't INSIST on playing with the new train set. We could really do without that interuption on the way out.

How to keep a 2 year old busy

Aunt Jodi lent us some puzzles to see if Tylers interest in them was just a phase or to see if we found something that would actually keep him still and occupied. Well after a few tries he was doing them too fast so we found a solution. We just mix all the pieces from 4 puzzles together and let him go. Next stop - jigsaw puzzles.

All set

Tyler was in the kitchen messing around this morning while I was feeding Chase. He came upstairs with the following and said he was ready to watch his movie and to put Chase on the bed with him. These items were on top shelves in the pantry and fridge ... Of course.

He also informed me that you suck the mint, you bite the fish, and you sip the drink after you have the fish.

WHY IS JULIE POSTING SO MUCH!?!?

Well if I'm clogging up your google reader- I apologize... You see I have a brand new toy that I LOVE .... MY IPHONE!

Before I would blog every 2-3 months and do 9-10 posts at a time trying to remember what we did based on the pictures in my camera. Well the whole reason I blog in all honesty is to have a record/journal of stuff going on in our lives. I don't really do it for anyone who reads it - except maybe Kayla Spice, and perhaps now for my cousin who is on bedrest...

So when a cute little thing happens around here, I snap a picture on my phone. Then I hit my little blogger application. I put a title, put a description, upload the picture, and voila, in less then 1 minute I have a little memory, caught forever... and one day I'm convinced blogger will do some printing product, where you can upload all your posts and they'll print a nice little journal for you.

So if you wanna join the annoying ride of me using my iphone to clog up my blog and post never ending stories about how cute I think my kids are- you are very welcome :)

Tyler knows how to decipher baby talk

Tyler was in the family room watching a movie ( spiderman 3 ) from aunt Andrea. Chase was in the kitchen kind of making noises. Tyler said "Is Chase asking to watch the movie with me? Put him in here with me!"

It's soft now mom

Tyler wanted Chase to sit next to him on his little chair. I told him the chair was too hard for Chase to sit on. Naturally Tyler looked for the loophole. He went and got a blanket and put it on the chair and said "see it's soft now"

Twins

Tyler thought it was cool to be twins with his bro. It's like Tyler just discovered how awesome having a brother is this week. And hey - it got Tyler out of his Spiderman suit for an afternoon.

Tyler's Doing....

Tyler will tell you he "just buyed us these outfits from the tores (store). Here is what our family is made of...

Spiderman himself: no explanation needed

Spiderdad aka "Black Spiderman": from the third movie, the tank is way too tight fyi

Spidermom
: Pink is like red, but for a girl, with blue and black, so mom is just LIKE the real spiderman but is a Spidergirl. The leggings are way too tight also - just got back to pre-pregnancy weight, not PRE-TEEN weight.

Spiderbaby: Black, blue and red- AND he gets a hat too- oh and DON'T YOU DARE call him Chase, it's SpiderBABY.

Our Super Hero Son

One day, Tyler may join our family again, but for now we're parents to a super hero

When did I become SO Canadian?

Jeremy is assistant coach for the BYU Hockey team and last week the season ended. So in honoUr of it being our first weekend with no hockey in 8 months, we are:

Friday: Watching the Canadian Hockey Team play Slovakia and hopefully make it to the GOLD medal round Sunday. Mind you Nicole and Casey are taking Tyler tonight so this is LIKE a date.

Saturday: Jer's going to ref 3 hockey games in the morning, then we're gonna watch one of the hockey team he consults play in the STATE finals Saturday night.

Sunday: Hopefullly watch CANADA beat USA in the Gold medal Round. Sorry American friends... but... there's something about the Olympics that make me extra Canadian.

I think I went to like 3 hockey games MY WHOLE life before I moved to Utah.

hmmmm.

It just melted off me

So I'm happy, proud, excited to say I'm BACK to my pre-pregnancy weight.

DEFINE pre-pregnancy weight: What I was before I was pregnant....Not what I was in highschool, or when I got married but hey -it's STILL pre-pregnancy.

This is more of a soap box post for all the ladies who jump back in their pants after they deliver, or who don't even bother gaining weight anyways, I HATE YOU! haha... well not really, but maybe a little.

It took me 18 months to lose the weight after Tyler (and I was trying), but this time I ate super healthy (pretty much since the day I found out I was pregnant), and for the last 2 months I have:
  • eaten the same healthy foods daily (chicken, beans, rice, oatmeal) prescribed by someone who knows what they are talking about for nursing moms
  • exercised HARD 6 times a week
  • had sugar or sweets only 3 times (bday, anniversary, michele's wedding)
and VOILA....

It just melted off.
Right.

Miracles DO Happen

Remember my post a week or so about Praying for Baby Bronson -
Well he is home and well - it was an absolute MIRACLE.
I'm so relieved and happy for this family that I don't even know.
There must have been thousands and thousands of people praying HARD for this baby - I KNOW I WAS.
I know that sometimes we don't always get what we want, but that there is a GOD in Heaven who answers prayers and everything is in his hands.

What does every TIRED mom need?

A baby as easy as Baby Chase... I say prayers or gratitude everyday that he has been so easy. He is just about the sweetest little thing that melts your heart with just one of his little smiles. He is such an incredible little sleeper- He's as sweet as Tyler is active. I wouldn't change a thing about either of them... Well that's not entirely true... Chase would cooperate with a bottle when I have to go out once every 2 weeks or so and Tyler would think sleeping was as cool as Spiderman...but you can't expect to have PERFECT children...
