Thanksgiving Turkey

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Mike and Andrea and Logan. We had so much fun.
Wednesday night we got there and Andrea and I realized we had no idea HOW to cook a turkey. Well we called Lori - Jeremy's mom because her turkey is the best I've ever had! It's so moist and yummy. I think she was a little amused we would decided to do our own Thanksgiving like grown-ups and not know how to make a turkey, but she sent me an email with directions - which if anyone wants I can forward... DELICIOUS.

Anyways, we got the turkey in at 5 am and were thrilled when we took it out and it wasn't pink, frozen, or dry. It tasted just like Lori's! YAY! Andrea did a fabulous job planning and cooking the rest of the meal while Jeremy and I visited with Jeremy's grandparents.

We had a lot of fun visiting with some of Jeremy's mom's side of the family. We don't get to see them much because when we go to Logan, its usually for hockey and rather busy. We had some nice visits and everyone got to see baby Chase.

Chase behaved perfectly - EASIEST BABY! Tyler refused to nap or go to be before Midnight the entire time, but it's okay cause Cole did the same thing. They still love each other - but it wasn't bliss the whole time - severe sleep deprivation does crazy things to 2 year olds... hehe.

I'm grateful for such a great family and a wonderful Thanksgiving. If either my or Jeremy's moms are reading this - the trick to get Jeremy and I for Thanksgiving is to have it out of town! I JUST LOVE going a short distance, like 1-2 hours for Thanksgiving. Growing up in Canada, College was the first time I celebrated American Thanksgiving and would always go see my grandma a couple hours away, so maybe that's why that's what I think Thanksgiving should be!
