Some of my friends are abstaining from facebook for a week... will I be joining them? NO WAY! Sometimes its my only connection to the adult world as I have 2 kids, one car with a husband who works a lot of weird hours and takes that car, no life, and am stuck cooped up nursing every 2-3 hours....
So this week - just to play a little bit, I will be loading like 10 picture albums to facebook, revealing deep dark secrets through my status updates, and will convince Andrea to do the same.
p.s. everyone just ignore this post, it was for one person, and one person only.

Spiderman Sleeps
I guess he does have a soft side to him... He is cuddling that little toy and sleeping - 2 things he rarely does...
Also, right before his nap today, he was thirsty and wanted water but he explained to me: "I can't drink water before I go to sleep or I will wet my Spiderman suit, so get me root beer or apple juice instead mom!"
He makes me laugh EVERY day.

Tyler Takes After Me....I guess
Sometimes you're just too busy to get to the bed in time to fall asleep. Aren't we cute?

How I got motivated to workout today...
Julie: I just don't feel like doing my work out today
Andrea: Summer is around the corner
Julie: No it's not, it's like 6 months away, that's plenty of time
Andrea: Michele's wedding is in 6 weeks
Julie: Ya but I'm at the point where a good pair of spanks will hide the love handles
Andrea: I already worked out today - you're competitive right- go work out
Julie: Nah that didn't do it for me
Andrea: Just take a break today then
Julie: WHAT? I can't just take a day off? Are you serious. I better go work out

Just like DADDY!

Dear Staff at the Gym Daycare,
Although you may think my child looks like an orphan, please realize he has carefully - and I mean carefully planned his outfit. Each day.
Tyler's outfit: From Tyler's perspective
The mesh gym shorts = Just like daddy's "dym" shorts
The backpack = A gym bag, just like daddy's to wear the whole time I'm in daycare
The Maple Leafs Hat = Dad wore a hat today, so I made mom find my "maple leeeves hat"
The zip up jacket = Daddy's shirt had a zipper too
The running shoes (even though they are too small) = Daddy has running shoes, so I'll give up my boots today!
The milk in a sippy cup that Tyler thinks is a protein shake (not pictured) = Just like daddy's "topene shake"
So each day when Tyler comes with the same outfit, please know, it's planned, VERY carefully planned.
-Julie
Baby Chase
It's easy to get carried away in all the Tyler stories on here and not mention too much about Baby Chase because Baby Chase is the EASIEST BABY! He has been such an incredible treat and blessing to us. He sleeps well, eats well, and has the most mild mannered temperament. I joke around that if he would have been my first we might have had another too soon because we would have been tricked into thinking kids were EASY.
I was worried about having a 2nd child and loving him as much as I love Tyler. I understand now, how you can love multiple children equally as much even though they can be completely different. If I fail to talk much about him, know that he's here, kicking it with us, surviving Tyler's attempts to help him grow up faster!
Oh and Andrea loves him too!

At least he's thoughtful
Goalie Guys, Xbox, and Potty
So Jeremy played xBox with Andrea and Nicole's husbands this weekend. Tyler watched and has been "popping" and "shooting" things all week. OOps.
Tyler thinks his office chairs are goalie guys. Tyler shot those goalie guys, and they died. Right after the goalie guys died, Tyler had to go potty. Tyler decided the goalie guys should watch him. Even if they were dead.

Thanksgiving Turkey
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Mike and Andrea and Logan. We had so much fun.
Wednesday night we got there and Andrea and I realized we had no idea HOW to cook a turkey. Well we called Lori - Jeremy's mom because her turkey is the best I've ever had! It's so moist and yummy. I think she was a little amused we would decided to do our own Thanksgiving like grown-ups and not know how to make a turkey, but she sent me an email with directions - which if anyone wants I can forward... DELICIOUS.
Anyways, we got the turkey in at 5 am and were thrilled when we took it out and it wasn't pink, frozen, or dry. It tasted just like Lori's! YAY! Andrea did a fabulous job planning and cooking the rest of the meal while Jeremy and I visited with Jeremy's grandparents.

We had a lot of fun visiting with some of Jeremy's mom's side of the family. We don't get to see them much because when we go to Logan, its usually for hockey and rather busy. We had some nice visits and everyone got to see baby Chase.

Chase behaved perfectly - EASIEST BABY! Tyler refused to nap or go to be before Midnight the entire time, but it's okay cause Cole did the same thing. They still love each other - but it wasn't bliss the whole time - severe sleep deprivation does crazy things to 2 year olds... hehe.

I'm grateful for such a great family and a wonderful Thanksgiving. If either my or Jeremy's moms are reading this - the trick to get Jeremy and I for Thanksgiving is to have it out of town! I JUST LOVE going a short distance, like 1-2 hours for Thanksgiving. Growing up in Canada, College was the first time I celebrated American Thanksgiving and would always go see my grandma a couple hours away, so maybe that's why that's what I think Thanksgiving should be!

So So So excited for CHRISTMAS!
I feel like a kid again.
We've explained to Tyler who Santa is, what elves do, and are getting ready to get a Chocolate Christmas Advent calendar for the boss of the house - Tyler.
Of course we'll spend a good part of Christmas telling him about the Savior and his birth - but I must admit
MAN IS IT FUN TO HAVE A KID AT CHRISTMAS!

Bedtime with 2 boys
TYLER- brush teeth, read story, have a long discussion about how he needs to sleep in HIS bed, chase him down the stairs as he tries to escape the bed, say prayers, tuck him in, continue discussion about how he can't try to escape again, give him his teddy, give him a kiss, and RUN for the door, shut the door, lock the door, and once again beg him to stay in there.
CHASE-put in him in his craddle.

Chase Wynn Weiss
Some posts take longer for me to get to... but in case you haven't heard... Baby Chase Wynn Weiss is here. He was born October 23, Friday morning at 11:41 and weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. He was 9 days early. His delivery was so much easier then Tyler's and we're all doing great.
So there was the cliffnotes version here are the details for those who care...
When I was 36 weeks the Doctor told me to go on "light bedrest". I was at a 2.5 and 70% effaced. He thought I would deliver any day and wanted me to stay till 37 weeks. So I took it easy, didn't do any housework and waited patiently every day thinking it was about to come. Well then I went to my 37 week appointment and he said the same thing...I was at a 3 and 80% effaced. (but I didn't need to take it easy anymore). Then I went to my 38 week appointment was almost at a 4 and couldn't believe I was still pregnant! SERIOUSLY! I was actually going more mentally insane, then I was physically uncomfortable. I was walking around thinking I was about to have the baby everyday for like 3 weeks. I WENT NUTS. For months 7 and 8 I felt horrible and wanted to have the baby out so bad but the last month the baby dropped so low I actually felt good again. I would have been ok - but the fact that my doctor kept saying any day made me crazy.
Anyways, relief was finally here... I went into labor just like I had with Tyler. Started having contractions... kept having them.... then couldn't deny that they really hurt and it probably was actually labor. It was even the same time of day.. Around 4 am we dropped Tyler off at Michele's house and he was just happy to be there. I guess when he woke up, he looked at her and said "this is cool". We got checked in at about 5 am and then I went walking around in the hospital. Once the contractions started making me puke (like they did with Tyler) I to the epidural and the rest was smooth sailing. At around 9 something the doctor broke my water and then I pushed for about 10 minutes and he was out. That was the different part... Tyler took 2 hours and forceps.
Anyways, Chase was healthy, and peed on the Doctor on the way out. I stayed in the hospital till the next day and then got out of there! They wouldn't even let Tyler in because of the swine flu stuff so I wanted out. Recovery has been so different then Tyler. I feel great. I felt like I did weeks after Tyler was born a day or 2 after. Chase has been the easiest baby so far and he's almost 2 weeks. I'm counting my blessings and enjoying every second of him being so easy. Tyler loves him to pieces but can't seem to keep his hands off him... hehe
Alright, this is really long but it's my sorry excuse for a journal and recording these kinds of things so sorry!
We gave him the middle name Wynn because its my Grandma Godfrey's maiden name and we wanted to honor her and the family she raised. She has 6 great kids and even more grandkids that are all great people we love and respect. We're proud to have that family represented in our little boy.

Go Web Jesus!
So the other day when we were reading scriptures with Tyler and we came across a picture of Jesus coming down from Heaven... Tyler was thrilled to recognize just what he was doing.
Apparently Tyler figured that Jesus was putting his hands out in order to shoot out his web... Just like Spiderman... he quickly proclaimed "GO WEB JESUS"
Oh Dear...

Tyler...Napping!??!?
So I have been insanely busy the last few weeks... more to come on that in other posts... but just had to share this.
Tyler was supposed to be napping. I was just around the corner in the office getting work done. I hear him start opening the door to escape his nap and this is what I see peep around the corner...
Think he got in trouble? Nope... too busy laughing!

Tyler taking care of me
I just lied down on my bed (it's only 7:30) and let out a big breath.
Tyler responded like this:
"Mommy Tired?"
Then he, put the blanket on me, rubbed my head, said "I love you mom", turned the light off, and on his way out the door said "Good night mom, Tyler go in office and get work done".
So cute.
